Do you grow your orchids outdoors year around or in a greenhouse?

In addition to the orchid board, another excellent online resource you might want to check out is the flickr group for orchid hobbyists in Southern California.

I grow all my orchids outdoors year around...some are under shade cloth while others are mounted on two trees. Boy, they really got a good soaking today!

I have around 200 species...Cattleyas, Dendrobiums, Laelias, Encyclias, various monopodial orchids, etc.

If you are interested, you are more than welcome to come over for a tour. It's always fun to compare notes with other local growers.

I will be there on the first day of the show to pick up a group order from Floralia nursery. If you are going to be there on the first day maybe we can say hi and compare our purchases.

Wednesday?? That's really early...now I know who the early bird is who gets all the good worms.

There are around 8 people participating in the group order...hopefully a few more will jump in at the last minute. I haven't quite decided on what I'm going to order yet...there are still a couple days left before I have to send in the order.

You can't get anything on Wednesday because everybody's doing displays.Thursday is a better day because after we do judging and free lunch I go with my friends from Society to vendors section and we can buy something, but you know they just in process of unpacking, maybe we could get more, but then we will have to wait for nobody knows how long.Friday is the best day to buy something good ,and on Sunday before they close some vendors have some orchids on sale.Does Floralia has a list of orchids you can order on their web site?
