They say 5" at RDU. Went up from there to around 11" or so to the N and NW of Raleigh. Of course that means layers of snow and ice, as usual.

I have been to the Orchid Trail and I have also gone to Seagrove, it is about an hour and a half away, but she has some really cool orchids.

Hi Nikkik, I'm in North Raleigh! I'm just getting into orchids and really need to go visit Orchid Trail.

I have not been to Seagrove but i have purchased plants from Linda at a few shows - very nice plants and people.
We did not get any snow on the coast - only 2 inches of rain.
My plans are to spend a good part of saturday, march 20th at the Orchid Trail. If anyone else can make it, that it would it that much more enjoyable :)

Welcome

Greetings. I am in Asheville, NC - and belong to the WNCOS. It is a very active society and we have our show the end of March. It is probably the best show I've hit over the last 3 years - with 10 vendors this year - come check it out if you can road trip. http://www.wncos.org/

I, too, am seriously addicted, and dont want help:) I have an orchid "sponsor" ie mentor who is great. She helps me learn and boy do I need the help. I am now at 211 plants - all indoor under lights (wonderlite). The longer I grow, the more I am leaning to paphs and phrags - just adore them. Luckily, my wife is on the "trip" with me. They're just so amazing.
