Default Hello from Ohio!

Hello everyone!

I'm a student in Ohio who has recently become very interested in orchids! I got my first phal as a sale plant at Lowe's 2 years ago, and then two more "miniature" phals last summer. I've enjoyed caring for them, and I want to learn more about them and look into other types of orchids as well, especially since there is going to be a big sale at the local conservatory of different types. I'm very excited for one of the minis, since it now has a 1" spike growing! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions to post here in the next few days.

Thank you! Well, I wouldn't say I collect them, but I do have a ceropegia woodii that I love. I think they're a very interesting plant variety and I would be interestind in getting more if there were more available locally. The woodii is the only one I've seen around here. Do you collect them?

I have about 10 species I think (used to have more). If you like once it warms and I can get to them in the greenhouse I can send you some cuttings. They almost never flower for me but I still like them.

Ceropegia - come to the Central Ohio Orchid Society meeting Thursday evening. I'll be giving a presentation on semi-hydroponics, but it includes lots of info that's applicable to all orchid culture methods.
