Phalaenopsis....how do you make them have 2 or 3 spikes....I have bought one that had 2 spikes. Does that mean when it spikes again that it will have 2 spikes again?

Hi, welcome to the board.
Phals don't necessarily get 2 new spikes after you buy them with 2 spikes. Remember that those spikes are grown by the grower who puts them in conditions they like very much (well, good growers do that ).
I think it's just a matter of luck and good treatment

Welcome to Orchid Board

As Renée said you won't necessarily get two spikes again. The most important thing is to keep the plant good and healthy, for me my biggest Phal sometimes produces two spikes (but not always).

Sue (cb977) mentioned worm tea recently. I think she had just bought some. Never heard of it before that though.

As I heard worm tea is supposed to be great fertilizer for orchids, as well as insect repellant and disease repellant......I ordered a book and that was one of the big "secrets" that was in there....I wish I could talk to someone that has used this for at least a couple of months....
