Hello Karen.

Welome to OB!

I am happy to be partly to blame for your new affliction. I got it several years ago as a young boy.

Great orchids. What a lot of flowers on that middle one.

Hi Rosie,

I know, I can't believe it myself. I just bought it at an orchid show. It seems to like where it is since it's sending up more leaves. I hope when it reblooms (or if) it will have that many again.

Thanks, Karen

Hi Karen, let me add my bit of welcome to you. I know you will enjoy this forum. Sorry about your losses. I'm happy about your new found love, which very soon will become an addiction.

I see you have posted some pics. I especially like the middle one. Happy growing.

Hi Karen,
I live in Western MA- Amherst to be precise. YOu should join the Amherst Orchid Society- It (I guess I can say we) meet on the third Sunday of every month. Lots of "hands on" advice. I'm an old newbie, too. Just started in February and #s 36 and 37 just arrived yesterday, from J&L. Two phal shilleriana. I plan to put one in semi-hydro and one in orchid mix and see how they do. My version of a science experiment. I have a master's in Botany; really plant cell membrane physiology.
Your orchids are beautiful by the way.
I'm so glad to meet you, and you too, puckpuggy- my fellow baystaters.
