Hello from Calgary, Alberta everyone!
I am new to Orchid Board and have been very impressed with the quality of the discussions! I have raised orchids on and off for many years both in Calgary and in Ontario.
This time out I am "into" Phrags, Paphs and Phals. I have very little space to grow and am trying to grow in my livingroom using the existing east, north/east exposure. Trying to limit myself to a precious few is proving to be really hard but as they say there is always room for one more orchid!
Regards everyone!

Welcome to the group! Recently I have also started concentrating on Paphs and Phrags...I'm sure we have "met' on another forum!
I have a brother in calgary and visit there every year so I know Calgary quite well. Will be there in Maty and have Paramount high on my list of places to see!

Hi ladyslipper...welcome to OrchidBoard!
We have a wonderful community here. I love the open communication, free from all the petty nonsense that I've seen elsewhere. Our members seem to thrive on helping one another...and we have some great fun while doing it!
I look forward to seeing some of your collection

Hello Calgarian, welcome to the forum.
You are lucky to live so close to Paramount, perhaps the best orchid nursery in the country.

Welcome to the Board Ladyslipper! We've all been bitten by the orchid bug, and yes, trying to keep a small collection often eludes us all!

Hi Ladyslipper, welcome from another Canadian. I've given up on limiting myself, thinking of a greenhouse now, especially if phrags are in the picture since they get so big. Some of those multi-floral paphs aren't so small either.
Happy growing.
