The inevitable hello.

Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Brian, I live in Minnesota, USA. I've been growing and training Bonsai as a hobby for about 13 years.. I'm an avid plant-a-holic, and was introduced to orchids by a co-worker a few months ago; she cast her line, set it, and patiently reeled me in.

I'm hooked.

I've been reading, researching, trying to figure out the alliances and families, the somewhat convoluted nomenclature, and the sometimes fussy requirements. I just can't get enough information fast enough, and I'm loving every minute of it. Bonsai are enjoyable in a calm and patient way, while orchids for some reason are just exciting. I can't really wrap my brain around WHY, they just are.
