orchid geeker
Hello,
I've been lurking here for awhile but I've been active on two other forums that some of you may know me from. Since orchidgeeks is down and some of the other geekers have been breaking the ice, I thought it is time for me to do so as well.
I've been growing for about four years now. I belong to an orchid society, but I don't get to the meetings often because of distance, so the forums have been my best source of info. I have a mixed collection but lately I've been developing my phal species collection. I'm glad to see the high interest in phals here. I'll try to post pics, even if some of them are older so you all can see what I grow. Thanks for the nice welcome to the orchidgeeks.

Welcome to Orchid Board I hope you have as much fun here as I do, I belong to a UK forum and another forum as well as this but for the size of the membership of this site it is an amzing place I have not once seen a fall out or a post removed from a member ( except the intolerable spam) Everyone is so welcoming and helpful, I have asked some pretty basic questions and people have helped me so much, there is so much to read and look at here, beware the dishes and the laundry ends up being delayed LOL

Great to have you here, Hera. Forums are how I learn most too, I'll take any info I can get living in a very rural area. We don't care if you founded the underwater basket weaving forum - if you love orchids, you're one of us! I'm sure you'll fit right in.
I'm more of a Cat guy myself, but the Phal folks have been opening my eyes to the world of Phal species. The more I see, the more I come around. I look forward to your pics. Again, welcome.

Hi again Hera, good to see you and can't wait for your pics.
I'm basically a phal. guy although I try to grow a bit of everything. Right now I'm seriously adding to my phal. species collection.
Enjoy your time here, I know you will.

Hi Hera, Welcome. The one problem with this forum is THEY ARE ALL ENABLERS. I've run out of room at least twice so far! But thanks to the good members here, I now have a basement set up growing under lights.

Hi Hera Welcome to the other side--there are soooo many people who frequent both forums, that you'll soon feel right at home...
