Newbie to the world of Orchids
Hi there, just thought I'd say hello. Had a Phalaenopsis for a while and have rapidly become more and more interested in Orchids in general. I hope to introduce a new member to the collection soon.
I look forward to reading through the mounds of info later!
Gareth

Thanks for your messages! I have a quick question regarding my Phal. Violacia. It is still in flower and there is a second, 2 inch spike growing. One of the lower leaves has started to die off starting from the tip. Am I right in thinking Phals do this sometimes? The rest if the leaves are fine.

If it is the lowest leaf and starting from the tip this probably is normal. It would be different when the yellowing started at the stem.

I agree, the lowest leaf and starting at the tip sounds normal.
