Finding this forum is like finding diamonds. I'm delighted to be a new member.

I became handicapped 8 years ago at the hands of inept surgeons, so my plans of traveling in my retirement went belly up. Spilt milk, so I am now devoting my time to other challenges.

I bought my first orchid 2.5 years ago...a poor sicky thing on sale (really cheap) at a hardware store. It hasn't been until today that I learned what kind it is. It's a phal!!!

Since then, I've purchased 5 cattleyas. So, I'm in a major learning curve. I've already learned many things just by reading some of the posts...so, thank you for this terrific forum!!

I realized today, I actually have 2 phals and 4 cattleyas. See? I've learned things already by being here.
