Hello all,
I have just joined the Orchid Board. I am a bit of a lurker so I cannot be expected to post all that much.
I adore technical discussions about fertilizers, growing media, habitat (e.g. what conclusions should be drawn from the fact roths grow on serpentine? Why do sanderianums die on you so easily?). I dislike petty quarrels and would-be "authorities"--I respect well-informed, competent, and experienced growers.
I live in NW France, grow inside my house and in the garden in summer. Our climate is really an English climate (used to be cool and rainy though things have started to change--perhaps lions will thrive here in 100 years).
I grow Paphs (multis above all and parvis, over 150), I use the Antec mix and I am a disappointed lover of Cattleyas (deep reds particularly).
I hope you will put up with me but I promise I shall be very discreet.
Yours
W.

Hello Wentworth...welcome to Orchidboard
We make a point here of keeping the petty stuff out of our forum so your statement: " I dislike petty quarrels and would-be "authorities"--I respect well-informed, competent, and experienced growers." makes me think you're gonna like it here
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We have a largely varied group here, all in different stages of their addiction and all willing to help each other.
Again...welcome and enjoy yourself

It will most likely be a breeding ground for Caribou and other arctic animals from what I see and understand. But thats another story.
Welcome to the orchid board! I think you will find yourself compelled to post more often than not. We keep all types of sillyness to a minimum, well, the bad kinds anyway. We do like fun after all.
