Looking forward to chatting with fellow enthusiasts and drooling over all the pics. I've been growing for 15 years, ever since a friend moved and bequeathed his 2 prized cyms to me in '94. They both threw up a couple spikes, the most beautiful flowers opened, and I was hooked.
I grow mostly for fragrance, with exceptions, of course,
. I grow both in- and outdoors, and my collection contains mostly catts, cyms, dend nobiles, phals, with a sprinkling of zygos, encyclias, neofinetias, oncs, paphs and a few others. Just copied the list into my profile, which numbers about 220 now, whittled from 500+ a few years back. Less to keep away from the chewing kitties.
My radiata just opened its first flower today. Impatiently waiting for the fragrance, maybe in a day or so. Can't claim credit for it, though, bought it in bud from Andy's back in May.
