HI all, im sort of new here. so here goes i have a Ctna. Jamaica Red 'Sentinel' and it blooms real often just love it. my question is it is finishing blooming now, and yesterday i noticed as i was removing spent blooms right below the bloom, and the second node it has put up another spike. my PHALS do this didn't know that CATTS did this is this normal. Thanks TOMD
Cattleytonia generally has a single infloresence arising from each pseudbobulb. Flowers (20+) are clustered at top portion of inflorescence. Nature sometimes makes a happy mistake and turned one of the lower, unflowered buds into a branched inflorescence. Enjoy!
Hi, I have Ctna. Jamaica Red 'Sentinel' also. It just finished it's blooming & needs repotting. How do they do mounted? I see that it needs to dry out between waterings. Thanks. Love this forum.

Hi Lee
It's probably best if you start a new thread with your question. Often posts tacked on to old threads don't get as many views or replies.

Given the Broughtonia blood, I am sure it will do quite well, mounted.
