Hello everyone!
I found your board yesterday and promptly joined. Somehow, I've already made acquaintances (and some enablers *cough*terrestrial-man*cough*) in the chat room

.
I was the one that ended up inheriting the orchid bug in my family. My grandparents grew them and so did my mom. I grew orchids from around 1993 until about 10 years ago under lights (HID) and had a varied collection. After a huge summer heat wipe out, I didn't have the heart to start collecting again. Until maybe now.

I don't have very many orchids at all, but that's okay. I'm currently growing minis, and have just recently started getting into slipper orchids - phrags in particular. At times I have a soft spot for Phal. equestris hybrids too. I don't have enough to break out the HID yet, so I have a small grow light and the windowsill again.
Anyway, it's good to be back and even better to see how the 10 years away has made such a difference. I see the results of plants that were popular back then and I also get the benefit of much better online resources and supplies. It's great to be here. Let the fun begin!!!
