Default Hi from eastern PA

Hi everyone

I'm new at growing orchids and have lots of questions. I started with a Costco phal a few years ago and slowly added 2 paphs, 1 phrag and 3 oncidium.

Hi Bonnie...welcome to Orchidboard

Some of us start out slowly, others dive in with both feet...either way, you end up with more orchids than you thought you'd ever have!

You've found a great resource for information and for meeting others such as yourself interested in sharing our experiences.

We'd love to see some pictures There's a very cool gallery...it has some of the most beautiful orchid pictures around!

We also have a nightly chat, starts around 8pm est. Stop in, say hi to some of your new friends

Hi Bonnie,
Welcome. I have only been collecting orchids for a year and I am already up to approx. 50. So you have been very good.

Thanks for the warm welcome

Right now, my orchids are sitting on the windowsills. However, I bought a metal garden cart with 4 shelves the other day, so I'm expanding my growing area. I probably will fill it quickly.

Should I attach fluroscent lightbulbs to the shelves? I'm planning to put it next to a SE window.

Hi Bonnie!

I saw you in chat last night. Welcome fellow newbie!

Uhoh, so you bought a 4 shelf cart? Of course you must fill it! Yay, orchid shopping! I see that you like slipper orchids too. I'd love to know what kinds you have.
