Hi from Tennessee Male
Default Hi from Tennessee

Just wanted to say hi to everyone

Im new to the board and just got my first orchid, she's a Oncidium "sharry baby". I sure do hope I am taking care of her right and hope she comes into bloom here in a few months!
I have loved orchids for a long time and have a lot of pictures I would love to share with you guys at some time
I love all orchids but I have fallen head over heels for Paphiopedilum!! I just love em, they caught my eye at a botanical garden and ever since have just loved them. its unfortunate that I can not find them around here. I am looking at getting some online at some point.

A bit about me, I live in TN and work at Target. I am going to BYU Idaho here in a little bit for college (they have a great horticulture program ), but am currently attending a local college for basics.
I love to read and have been reading up a lot on orchids, but as most newbies I still feel completely in the dark

Nice to meet y'all and am looking forward to gett'n to know y'all as well

Welcome to the board fellow Tennessean! What a great thing to study!!! I would absolutely love that. Unfortunately, I am stuck behind a computer all day looking at spreadsheets!

Glad you joined us! Will you be able to take any orchids with you while at BYU Idaho?

Thanks for the kind welcome!
Hi fellow Tennessean, do you happen to know of a great place to get Orchids around here in Middle TN?
Sure I can post pics of it, though its not in bloom

I sure hope I can take orchids with me. Im pretty sure I can as the housing is apartments not dorm rooms so it should be allowed, but I will have to check on that
