Thanks everybody for the welcome! I got really busy and then lost this page but I guess it remembered me because I didn't have to log in.

About the overheated apt, I have the windows open all the time but it's a struggle to keep a cool enough temp for mammals and still keep the plants away from the drafts. It's also really, really dry... oh well, spring is here! I have new growth on two of my orchids (and one is the dendrobium!) and I'd like to post pictures and ask for advice. Where is the best place to do that? Thanks!

Manos, On the Bllra, I doubt the heat will be any real problem for you. Just keep it well watered and while it is growing keep it well fertilized.

I think the best place to post photos and ask questions is Orchid Alliances subforum. There you can find many specialized sub-sub forums. For example, this one is for dendrobiums http://www.orchidboard.com/community...bium-alliance/

Hi and welcome to the forum, Manos
I'm sure you will find many here at OB to help you out, so many folks willing to lend you a hand.
Check out the off topic, it's more then just orchids around here.

See you around the forum ....

Would you happen to have a picture of Howard's Dream? I've never heard of it.
Thanks

I don't have my own picture, so I'm posting a link BllraAlanFitch

I believe the author of the photo made a little mistake in its name. It's name is Bllra. Marfitch 'Howard's Dream'
