Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome.
I've been meaning to take pictures for the past week but works been busy and I kept forgetting to charge the battery in my camera.
I've attached a couple pictures of my collection and a new enclosure I'm currently working on. It's made from 5mm acrylic and it's dimensions are 24"W x 24"D x 48"H.
I've got an inexpensive shelving system holding up eggcrate shelves at various levels, allowing for a wide variety of lighting within the enclosure.
I've got 4 banks of two-bulb t5's. One is hanging over the enclosure, the other three are mounted on another shelving system behind the enclosure. They can be adjusted up and down to again allow for a wide range of lighting situations.
A couple things I didn't account for in my planning was that every time I go to look at my plants I've now got 6 t5 bulbs burning holes in my retna.
And while I don't think the plants mind the angle of the light it's kind of a bummer everything faces away from the front, and any blooms are certain to open facing the back of the enclosure.
I'm still toying of the idea of adding a 400w hps, I already have the equipment. Maybe set it on a separate timer to only come on for maybe 4 hours during midday.
I still have to add a door to the enclosure, plus cut a hole and add a fan for ventilation. That's why I haven't taken the paper off the sides pieces of acrylic.
Anyway all, it's late and I must get some shut eye.
Thanks for stopping by my thread.
Alex.
