Default Hello everybody!

I live in Germany, not very far from Borken in NRW and I just got my first orchid for my birthday... So I bought another one...

I've heard there's no cure for it...

Sorry, Corwin. Once the bug bites, you're a goner. Just like the rest of us. Have fun.

Well I have a Dendrobium and a Phalaenopsis... that's all there was on the sticker...

I'm going to ask in the ID forum (I did look on the net and have a fair idea of what those two have to say but I do want to be sure)

Welcome to Orchid Board Corwin,

My first orchids were Dens and Phals as well. Unfortunately there are so many hybrids of both of them it can be imposible to find any more information about what they are.

Don't worry though, we call them NOID for No ID and they are just as beautiful as the ones which do have a name. Most of mine are NOID and I love them just as much as the named ones. Many people make up names for them, but I've never bothered.

I'm sure you'll learn loads here at Orchid Board, I know I have in the last few months, and every one here is really friendly and helpful.
