Hi Andy
If you're looking for a "good" site, this is not it!

If you're looking for a GREAT site, you've come to the right place!!!

We've got Member Photo Galleries, the best Chat Room (we usually get there around 8pm est each night), International Orchid Growing Projects and more freely available help on the subject of orchids than you could even imagine!!!

We've got a wonderful group of people from all around the world, each at a different level of experience and each growing their collection in different ways.

Take a stroll around the neighborhood...check out the web site that is about to change your life!!!

If you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to ask...you've just made yourself 1100+ friends!

You got that right Sue. Welcome Andy. First post and you've already got your list up; you're one up on most. Don't be afraid to post pics of your chids. We'd love to see what you grow and your setup, modest or elaborate. We all glean info from everyone else.

Hi Andy. Welcome. I agree with the others that this is the best general orchid spot on the web. Jump in and get involved - we like new folks, new ideas, new questions, new thoughts, etc.

Thanks everyone for your great welcome. When I figure out what I need to do, I'll try to post a few pics. Right now I'm smoking pork ribs and pork butt so my mind is on that.

Welcome to OB!

if you have cooking questions, we have a couple of professional chefs on the board. Dave (aka Oscarman) is a culinary instructor, if you run into trouble he'll be able to tell you how to deal with root rot and how to perfect your rack of lamb

Sounds to me like this Carolinian knows how to do this. My experience with folks that know how to smoke meat, it's a real secret they choose not to share - especially with us Yankees My Brother-in-Law is a real Florida barbeque/smoker and refuses to let out his secret even to his wife. Go figure. Sure tastes good though.

Welcome Andy!

You've picked a great site. Athough I've been here less than a week, I feel qualified to say it's a great site and you will feel at home in no time!

Carol
