Default New to OB - Need adice on Paph. dianthum

Love this place!!!!! A lot of good info & advice. I've been growing chids for 5 or 6 years with some success, looking for a better growing season this year in N. C.. I have Cat., Phal., Paph., Onc. among others, (A half-hazard collection). Looking forward to being a member of this sight, if you can put up with a slooow typer. Speaking of advise, I have a Paph. dianthum that I think is in winter rest. It's blooming size & has three growths. All that I have read, it needs a dry winter rest, if so, when do I need to start watering agian. I usually spray the roots once or twice week to keep a piece of mind. Looks happy & healthy, but does need to be repotted.I was thinking CHC or S/H, maybe?
THANKS OB FOR HAVING ME!!!!!!

Hi GreenpinkE

Welcome to the OB.

I'm afraid I don't know much about your particualar Dendrobium. The only den I have does not need a winter rest.

Have a great time on OB and hope you find the answers you need.

A Paph. dianthum doesn't need any winter rest. Less water during the colder months but not dried out. This paph should remain moist not wet.

Paphiopedilum dianthum

Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy you're time here
