My partner bought me five more new orchids!!!! Another dendrobium and four phalaenopsis! I was so excited I was jumping up and down and clapping my hands!

Hey Jamie,
Welcome to the board. I have found that this is the best place to discuss orchids and feel like your talking to old friends. Your four orchids will soon grow to many. This is a sickness. When I joined a year ago I had 13 orchids. I am currently up to 60 or so. Hope to hear your updates on your collection.

Oh, absolutely... He stands behind my every whim and fancy... When I wanted to learn how to crochet, I came home and he had purchased several skeins of yarn and an array of yarning needles and booklets to get me started. He's rather thoughtful and kindhearted :-D

Boy you are so lucky, your partner is such a sweetheart! I would of been jumping up and down clapping too! It's funny you should mention crocheting since I taught myself (out of books) how to several years ago and then I took up knitting too. I get teased a lot about my hobbies. lol

Hi Jamie, welcome to OB. You've come to right place to learn all about Orchids. I'm learning a lot every day and am still just a newbie really.

Never tried crochet... cross-stitch is my thing. You are really lucky to have a partner like that. My hubby is a sweetheart too, he puts up with me buying more cross-stitch kits than I will ever have time to do, and is resigned to the fact the house will soon be full of orchids.

Oh, my better half has resigned himself to the fact that I will have an enormous collection of orchids soon as well... I have found my next beauty, a Nun's Orchid, which is actually terrestrial instead of epiphytic, and I cannot wait to purchase it!

My partner, Randy, he cross stitches as well... We are both quite eclectic in our extracurricular hobbies and crafts... You never know what we might be doing next!
