Hello, newbie from CT... - Orchid Board

Hello, I am new to OB and to the world of Orchids. I received my first Phal. for Valentine's Day from my husband and it was love at first sight! So a couple of days later I stumbled across a mini Phal. in a local flower shop and had to bring it home as well! I'm trying to learn everything I can to successfully grow these gorgeous flowers and this seems like the place where I can get any concerns or questions answered. Thanks!

It's nice to see someone from CT, I was born and raised there, in Fairfield. Looks like you have the orchid bug. Watch out, it only gets worse! You start out with one or two phals, and next thing you know the orchids have taken over the house!

Don't hesitate to ask questions, there are lots of people who can help you out!

Hi Christina,
Welcome to the Jungle. I'm also new to growing orchids and I have learned alot here. I'm also in Ct.
BTW, there is a really great orchid show at New York
Botanical Gardens starting this weekend, look for the thread.
