Hi all,

My name is Marilyn. I found the Board last week & have been learning a lot.

I've had 1 paph & 1 phal for about 10 years. Added a second phal about 4 years ago, and Oncidium 'Sharry Baby' two years ago. Then I bought a Dendrobium noid this past August.

But the addiction finally took hold, and I've purchased 7 orchids since December! I joined the local Orchid Society in January, and went to my first Orchid Show two weeks ago. Now I've got a tolumnia, a masdevallia, a couple other dendrobiums and a phalaenopsis equestris.

Marilyn

I look forward to meeting all of you & to acquiring more orchids!

Welcome to the 'world of orchid-addicts'. True, self control, just isn't part of the vocabulary any more when it comes to orchids.
You'll love the Sharry Baby. Mine has bloomed for me every January since I purchased it. I love the fragrance in my kitchen. Currently I have seven orchids either in bloom or sprouting bloom shoots, or shoots established with buds that are swelling to open. My home looks stunning in the months from January through to May or June. My husband always comments on how pretty the "chids' are in the house. That's good enough for me to continue my addiction!

Welcome Marilyn....It must have been the Madison show, it was a great one for sure.
Now if you need a little fix the Batavia show is coming this week-end, check it out, it may just help you with your problem. Jim.
