Use of LED's to grow high light orchids

I have several years experience growing orchids under fluorescent lights. This method limits the orchids I can grow and flower and I would like to move into other orchids that require higher light intensities. Higher light sources such as HID and sunlight are not appropriate for me.
I have been looking at vendors of LED panels. The products available seem to be arrays of red and blue LED in various configurations (round, square, rectangle) and vary considerably in Wattage. I have found a vendor who adds orange LED to the array. The factors involved seem to be high initial cost, low running cost, low heat generation and very specific light wavelengths.
I would like to know if anyone has experience of growing orchids (of any type) under these light systems. What success or failures? What to do or not do and what to look out for in selecting a vendor.
