Hi everybody! I am from India and I recently caught the orchid bug after receiving a few orchid cuttings as a gift from my grand mom (she has a beautiful collection). I dont know the names of all the plants I have...I know there is a Cattleya and Dendrobium for sure. I am completely new to this and I look forward to interacting with everyone on the forum.

Hi Chayya.
I live in Pune.I would love to know a little more about your orchids etc. Its easier to exchange notes with someone who can access the same products living in a similar climate.

Hi Chhaya! Welcome to OrchidBoard! What part of India do you live in? We lived in Bangalore for 2 years and loved it. In fact, a friend on mine that I met while I was there is just visiting us here in the UK.

I didn't grow any orchids while I was there (as I knew I couldn't bring them back with me) - but I grew lots of other plants outside.

Hope you enjoy the forum, and if you have any questions at all about your orchids, just ask!
