Default Greetings from a geek in Austin, TX

Hello to everybody!
I just need to share that I really enjoy this website. I have had orchids for a couple of years, and just a few plants, but it seems to be snowballing .... I am starting with the "easy" ones, moth orchids and oncidiums. From what I have read everybody seems extraordinarily friendly and helpful and I am looking forward to participating. I will have questions about repotting, lighting, and lots of stuff.
Ok I have blathered enough...I need to go look at my plants. Grateful to be here!

Hey Dan,
Welcome to the group! I am also from Austin and a member of the local orchid society. If you have any questions, I would be glad to help. I have been growing orchids for about 12 years, and although no expert, at least I can keep them alive now...lol I have about 300 in a greenhouse, and speaking of, the orchid society just had their semi-annual greenhouse tour this past weekend. It was a lot of fun.

You should think about coming to the monthly orchid society meetings, a great place to learn and share our knowledge about orchids. The website is Welcome To Heart O' Texas Orchid Society! Hope to see you there.
