Hello,

I am what I would call a lazy hobbiest when it comes to orchids. My wife and I have about 15 orchids, cattlyeas, oncidiums, cymbidium (1), and of course phalanopsis. We can get them all to bloom sometime during the year except for my cymbidium which is punishing me for almost freezing it a couple of years ago.

In any case I found your site because I am trying to identify a cattleya I have. I'll post this elswhere with a picture.

I live in the Cleveland, Oh area and will try to not be only a lurker.

That's wonderful that you chose to un-lurk! I'm not really sure that orchid-growing is the best choice for "lazy" hobiests. I have found that orchid growing takes some knack and some un- laziness. Ask away, and we will be happy to try to either help or direct you to where you can get help.
