First Post
Hello, I'm a new member living in E Cen Fl. I have been growing orchids for only a few years and now have about 60, mostly Dendrobium, Vandaceous, and Cattleya orchids, obtained at shows or from internet sites. I'm retired, and find this hobby so enjoyable. I recognize I'm hooked for ever! My brother built a small 8X8 greenhouse which house about half my collection, the other half are hanging under oak trees. Most all come in when the temps get cold. So far we are having a very mild winter. I have bought several orchid books, and what I've learned so far is I have a lot to learn! I have joined hoping to learn from the experienced grower.

Welcome to Orchid Board. For some reason your name reminds me of Lake Okeechobee.
Never mind me.
60 Kids in a few years! Thats impressive. Becareful though, the folks around here will soon have you picking out another 60 before 2008 comes around.

Welcome and don't be shy about posting pics of what you're growing. And only another 60 Tin??? I think you're being too conservative; are we not more influential than that?

Thanx For the Welcome
Thanx for the welcome. I hope to be an active participant. I need help in identifying orchids, primarily cats & dens, without labels. Hurricanes in '04 & '05 whacked me pretty hard.
