Johanna!
Thanks for introducing yourself, and Merry Christmas!
What orchids do you currently own? I am obsessed as well, and I'm pretty sure everyone here on the Orchid Board has the same type relationship with them as you and I do. The biggest problems you will read about here is lack of orchid space and not enough money, light, or correct temps to buy one of everything.
We all love to share pictures of "chids", so feel free to post them if you'd like! And if you have any questions, fire away! I hope you will enjoy OB as I have.

Hi Johanna,

It's nice to meet you. Welcome to the place where it's ok to be obsessive about orchids!

I took a look at your collection...they sure look healthy. I'm curious about the platycerium's. I understand that some of them can get pretty large...

thanks yeah they look pretty healthy because i just bought them but the den's roots were not so much in shape you can say... as far as the platycerium's i've had them since september 08 so about 3 months i've had them they will grow pretty large and i love them i watch then change about every 4 weeks i see a new change in them.... there are easier to grow than orchids but i love them both

Hi Johanna, I'm orchid obsessed as well, and my husband has also learned a lot more about orchids than I think he cared to! lol So, you're in good company here. Glad to have you!
