Hello from Hollister, CA - Orchid Board

Alyssa from Hollister aka motocowgirl04.I ride rodeo, ride dirtbikes, race off-road trucks and I am a Paramedic. I have loved orchids since high school when I went to a friends home. Her mother is from Hawaii and her orchids grabbed me and havent let go yet! I am working on getting pictures on here. I have a mish mash of orchids at this point. Most have come from the "dead" pile at my local garden stores. I have been lucky enough to bring most of them back. Not bad for a rookie! Its kinda fun finding out the colors when they bloom! I tripped on this site while surfin the net and what a friendly and helpful bunch of folks! Well, I am off to enjoy this site and can't wait to see what It brings! I also enjoy the "rescue orchids" from garden centers. Some real gems in there sometimes, and yes I agree, it's fun to see what the blooms end up to be.

I'm a realative rookie to orchids as well and just found this site earlier this year while searching for orchid care information online. Although I've visited several sites, this one seemes to take the cake
