I hope you are right! I just got my orchid of the day e-mail from sboe@sborchid.com which is Santa Barbara Orchid Estate in CA but you knew that!! Anyway the orchid of the day is an awesome Laelia Anceps that looks like a cross with c. aquinnii. If you have time check it out! You will LOVE the price! ( I almost died!!) Anyway I have to get some chores done before I go to work. Talk to you later! Lyn

Hey Lyn
I love Catts Too. The big ones especially. I have a couple of Hybrids and am getting species. Welcome to the board.
I am experimenting with growing in different media and have tried Osmunda..(fab) Clay pellets( need frequent watering), Coconut, bark and Perlite(way less frequent watering! and wine corks in a basket(daily watering) so far the best is....... Well...... they all work great I can't say I prefer one over another! Guess I should start experimenting with something else ?

Hi Christina , I am so excited! I just got a cattleya jenmannii I bid on on ebay today. It only showed one bud in the photo but showed up with three gorgeous flowers a little ruffled from shipping but a very healthy plant from a grower in Venezuela. I want to self pollinate a flower for Troy Meyers orchid lab but may wait since a good picture of the flowers may not be possible. Have you mounted any cattleyas? I have a cattleya percivaliana in bloom now mounted on a cedar slab. I LOVE IT! Thanks for writing to me! Always love to chat about catts! Lyn Collina
