Hello from redondo Beach, CA

Hello, I'm Ray from Redondo Beach in Southern California, a great place to grow many orchids outdoors year-round. I have only about 200 sq. ft. of greenhouse space, but a lot of outdoor shaded and sunny area - enough for over 2,000 orchids in all. I have been collecting since February, 2007, nearly two years. Most of my collecting now is of species and some primary hybrids - Cattleya, Laelia, Paphiopedilum, Dendrobium, Phragmepidium, Cymbidium and Bulbophyllum primarily (using the "old" nomenclature, as I will be for quite some time...) Anyway, hello...hope to exchange ideas and info, glad to be a member...

Sounds like you have a nice collection. I imagine you can collect quite a few in 2 years, especially since the weather is so nice for them. Hopefully you will post some pictures of your orchids when you are able to.
