Hello! I would like to introduce myself.
Hello! Well I started making ceramic containers almost 30 years ago. I sell them mainly to florists and gift shops. I make all kinds of different planters and vases. I love to experiment with paints and come up with alot of different, but beautiful colors. Almost 10 years ago, one of my customers asked me if I could make orchid pots. She showed me a sample of one...a very plain one. It had plain round holes cut out of the sides for air ventilation. Easy enough for me!!! That's how I started. I went from plain round holes to butterflies, other designs, and chinese lettering. I make several sizes and shapes. Since I make them myself, I can put a drain hole in the bottom (my floral customers don't want the hole), I can glaze the inside or not.
My philosophy: Orchids are beautiful. My pots are beautiful. Together, they are breathtaking!
I am amazed when I go into shops and see the combination of my pieces and their artwork with plants and flowers. If you are interested in some unique hand-made ceramic orchid planters, let me know
Thank you!

Wow! You have found your new home here, to be sure. I would recommend placing a free ad in the vendors forum and showing pics of the pots you've made. I am certain you'll pick up some new customers here. Glad you chose to join, and welcome to the board.

I don't have the place to grow orchids. I do enjoy seeing the different ones at the shops that I sell too. I think one of the prettiest ones that I've seen is the butterfly orchid. I've only seen one of them though.

Hi Kenn! Welcome to OB. Ross is right, I'm sure you'll have no problem finding customers here!
Ah, but there is always room for orchids! So your house is slowly converted into a greenhouse? It's worth it! Just don't ask my parents about their opinion!
Seriously, you can find room for an orchid or two (or 50+ after a while!) anywhere. I'm in a tiny dorm room and still brought plants with me from home (including 3 orchids, one of which I just took home over Thanksgiving before it got too tall to transport). Look into miniatures. There are minis to fit everyone and everywhere!
Have fun on OB!

Perhaps after the Holidays. I have alot of plants, but they are mostly outside plants. I enjoy putting a seed into the dirt and watch it grow. I have pineapple, avocado. apple, lemon, lime, grapefruit, papaya, and pomegranite.... I am actually giving away alot of them....I don't have room!!! I'm in the process of "cleaning" house and selling things on Ebay. That's how I found out about "Orchid Board". A very nice person who purchased one of my pots off ebay told me about it.
