Default Hello from Memphis, TN

Hello everyone,

I am new to this board after finding you on google. Needed an emergency fix on a dying orchid. It is in the hospital now thanks to a quick reply from a forum member.

I am not a complete orchid novice, but have never tried anything fancy. I have a dancing lady and a Blc. that I got from the Botanic Gardens local sale, a nice little Dendrobium that is blooming like crazy that I got from a local specialty nursery, and then there's the hospital patient...my beautiful Phalen that my husband gave to me for our anniversary 2 years ago.

I keep them on my desk at work in the winter and I rotate them around during the spring, summer & fall so they get some outside time.

So anyway hello. Glad to find you.

and welcome to the OB!

hope your hospital patient pulls through. I've had a few of those, and it's very rewarding when they thank you for your care by growing into healthy happy plants.

If you need any more advice, you know everyone at the OB is here to help!

Another resource for you would be the Memphis Orchid Society. Check them out - they are a real good group!

Hey all,
I just posted my photos to the members gallery under Shadytrake.

RIP to my Phalen. Oh well. I wish I had taken photos when it bloomed. Bummer.
