Default Hello from Louisiana

Hello! I'm new around here. I've been growing orchids for about 2 years now. I also grow carnivorous plants and a few succulents and cacti (which I ironically kill more often than anything else). I grow mostly paphs, phrags, neos, and bulbos. I recently bought my first masdevallias and draculas, and I'm hoping I will be successful with them. I look forward to being a part of this community. It looks like there is a lot of good information here.

Hi mismorbus! welcome to orchidboard
I know what you mean about the cacti. I always kill mine! I'll stick to the orchids. Do you have any of your collection. We love pictures here! If you really like Neos, we have a forum dedicated to them. Several of us here, including me, are neo addicts! Have fun!!

Hey there neighbor! Great to have you here. I'm about a 2 hour drive from S'port. Good to see another "kid from the neighborhood" around.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me! For everyone that wanted pictures, I've just added a few to my gallery, so you can take a peek there.

Camille - I think I end up over watering my cacti. I guess its a habit I've picked up from the orchids. I have wandered over to the Neo forum already. I love my Neos, but for some reason mine haven't flowered for me yet (well the ones that are blooming size). They have exploded in new growth, but no blooms.

Royal - Wow...you are close!

Musclegirl - I can't keep venus fly traps alive either. They are supposed to grow outdoors, and the second I put a plant outside, I forget to water it. Turns out they don't like that.
