Default Hi

I'm got interested in orchids from the first time I saw a huge spike with flowers. I havn't done anything with this passion except buy some phalenopsis in the off season. I love it when they produce a spike. I then bought a phrag to put into my dart frog viv. It almost died because I planted it. I now know that was a big no no. Luckily the leaves fell off and it regrew into two bunches of leaves. I am now waiting for a spike because I have no idea what the flowers are going to look like. I live in San Diego so growing orchids seems to be pretty easy. Temps are good year round and humidity is fairly high. I have read alot about orchid growing but I like the format of this board because it follows dendroboard's format.
