Default hi from australia!

hi im new to this board, can't find any good aussie ones. Looking for other aussies who love orchids. I esp. love and have mainly paph's. I have heaps of orchids but am fairly new to the whole orchid growing process. I haven't killed any yet and have some paphs flowering at the moment...so so far so good.hehe! I also grow carnivorous plants and have been for a while and have hundreds.

Hi Breindy
Welcome to the group. I joined yesterday so we are both newbies! I have mainly phals in my collection with some dens and cattleyas. It sure is a minefield out there with all of these orchids! Wish you luck in the future with your collection.

Breeindy, welcome to Orchidboard!!
There are lots of aussies here, so I think you found what you are looking for! I envy your ability to grow carnivorous plants, mine always die on me after a few months. So I stick to the orchids Do you have any of your orchids (and carnivorous plants)? We love pictures here, as you will soon discover!

Breeindy

I am from Oz as well and I also love Orchids as well as carnivorous plants. I am in a couple of orchid clubs so I can get my hands on plenty of orchids and there are sufficient orchid nurseries around, but I would love to know where you source your carnivorous plants cos there doesn't seem to be much around in Brisbane. There is one good grower up in Chinchilla but apart from the occasional VFT at Bunnings I never come across any. There aren't any CP clubs in Brisbane that I know of so share your secret source with us other Aussies. Do they live in your green house with your orchids?

Hi Breeindy,

Welcome to the OB! I've seen posts from several folks down under, and I'm sure you'll get a chance to meet them here too... It seems that a couple have already made introductions.

Have fun on the Board, and when you get a chance, I'd love to see some pics of your chids...and your bug eaters too!
