Smile Hello from Milan, Italy :-)

Hi everyone!!!
My name is Christian and I live in Milan, Italy. I'm already a member of a couple of italian forums, but I decided to subscribe to this one as well because it's really the best source for any kind of information
I often read your forum and I think that there are lots of nice people from all over the world.
My orchids at the moment are:
5 Phalaenopsis (4 hybrids and an equestris)
5 Dendrobiums (1 hybrid of nobile and 4 phalaenopsis-like hybrids)
a Masdevallia (maybe a triangularis?)
a BLC
2 Cymbidiums (hybrids, of course )
1 Aerangis distincta

Much more to come soon... 'cause I've just made an order on the web...

I will post some pics soon

Welcome to Orchidboard!!
You are are right, this really is the best place for orchid information! And as a bonus, everyone is super friendly and helpful. Another thing about us: We love !!

So what orchids did you order? I'm curious! Also, where did you order? I know that Italy has several very good growers.

Thanks for your welcome!
Here are some of my plants. I didn't have the time to make good pics because I changed apartment quite recently and still haven't had much time!
Some Phalaenopsis and a hybrid of Dendrobium nobile (which is now outside taking some cool weather):

A dendrobium phalaenopsis-like hybrid with green flowers:

Aerangis distincta, which is going to bloom soon:

Some Phalaenopsis:

Phal equestris:

BLC:

Masdevallia, maybe triangularis?

A Cymbidium hybrid that is going to bloom (it has dark purple flowers, it's the first time it blooms after 4 years):

I will soon have:
1- ANSELLIA AFRICANA
1- TRICHOGLOTTIS PHILIPPINENSE VAR. BRACHIATA
1- POTINARA BURANA BEAUTY BERLINGOT
1- BRASSOLAELIOCATTLEYA PINK EMPRESS BRIGHT SUN
1- BRASSOLAELIOCATTLEYA YOUNG KONG SUN 16
1- LAELIA TENEBROSA
(sorry for the caps but I copied and pasted!)
I made the order from the website of Nardotto & Capello, an Italian grower, I've heard they give very good plants and they're quite cheap, I can't wait to see...

I agree, the equestris is amazing!! And can't wait to see the blooms on the Aerangis.
You won't be disappointed by Nardotto e Capello. Their plants are beautiful, big (less so for the species) and healthy, and cheap!

Hello & Welcome!

You are so right. . .this is the best place on the web to learn about orchids and make friends. We just have so much fun together.

That equestris is one of my faves!!!! You're going to need a Phal. mini 'Mark Holmes', I am pretty sure! LOL

Can't wait to see pics of the new ones on order!

Thanks for the photos! We love them!

Wow gmdiaz, I love that phal
Actually I think that those I prefer are Cattleyas, especially hybrids with colourful and very scented flowers. But I just started with them, I hope we'll get along well together

It's great to hear that Nardotto & Capello is so famous, camille! I will take pictures of the plants next week when they arrive
