I've been lurking for a while and my computer time is sporadic. I have been growing orchids for about 12 years and started the "Orchid Shop" in 2005. Before that I worked for Brookside Greenhouses in Langley which specialized in Cyclamen and orchids. I worked growing cyclamen until Dec 2003 when the company went into receivership and some of us who kept their jobs had to learn about orchids real fast. I still really miss Brookside. It was a really great place to work and the people I worked for are super people. My time is limited since I am working on my business raising my son(by myself) and Homeschooling him. when I have time for myself I run. So I am not on Orchid Board very often

Not really devoted but It's the easiest way to get exercise. I recently lost my running partner(my dog Buddy) so It's hard to stay motivated.

To me, running is NOT the easiest way to get exercise. I enjoy power walking (in season) and programmable exercise bike in winter months.

Aboard Christina, its great to have you here at the OB, even limited time is always welcomed, as long as we walk away with something new that we have learned its been a worthy visit/stay. Please don't hesitate to view the OB members gallery and add some s of your own to share as well.

Running is great exercise, before I blew my knee out 15 yrs ago, I was training for a marathon on the east coast here in Fl, its a great way to express yourself and allowing life's stressful events escape within. A few miles here and there is always exhilarating. I have a lot of admiration for a single mom raising a child, working/self-employed, and always finding time for herself, even though it's only an hour here and there. gl to you, glad your here.

Hey Christina, I could swear I have allready welcomed you, but I guess not. Welcome to orchid board, and thanks for those two LC.'s that I got from you. They turned out to be really really good specimens!

Hi Christina.
If you where an Aussie we would call you “A Little Aussie Battler” this is a term of endearment & admiration, meaning that as hard as things can get you still battle on regardless.
Good onya . Craig
