Hello everyone
Everyone!
I thought I'd intro myself. I have recently become OCD over Orchids. I spend a great deal of time learning what I can about orchids. I joined here yesterday and spent a lot of time strolling thru the many sections of this board or OB as I see it is refered to.
You all seem very warm and fuzzy and I hope I will fit in nicely. I don't have much experience to share with others (yet?), You'll find me asking questions. Hopefully one day, when I grow up (read: become more knowledgeable on orchids), I can help someone else along too.

Hi Jacki
Welcome to Orchidboard
You'll be astonished at how quickly you'll find yourself helping others...sometimes you aren't aware of what you've absorbed until another newcomer asks a question and you realize...
I know that one!!!
I am looking forward to hearing more form you...what kinds of chids are you growing? Are you growing them outdoors...have a greenhouse...indoors?
So many questions!
Where are you in Florida? I'm in Spring Hill and we have a lot of Floridians here. A few of us are meeting at the Tampa show on Halloween!
Our members are very willing to help and we have lots of fun along the way...if you need help with anything, please don't hesitiate to ask

Hi & Welcome to the OB Jackie
You are probably more helpful then you think. If you have question, you should ask! Plenty of friendly folks here that will share and talk about their own growing conditions.
Glad your here - enjoy the forums

Hey ya'll, (with my bestest imitation south Florida accent)
Thanks for the many warm welcomes ;-)
I grow my orchids outside no gh, but an east facing lattice covered area they seem to enjoy. I have a couple inside now coz of the recent winds and they are small dens. that are flowering. I grow what I like. I started with cats and as I've discovered so many other beautiful orchids, I've gone ga-ga. In addition to my cats, I am also growing phals and paphs, oncs and dens. I guess pretty much what any newbie would be growing as a newly acquired habit. ;-)

Naw! Let her figure it out for herself
Hi Jacki. I am glad you chose to join in here. I find this a great place to just hang out and just a couple notes: All the questions you choose to ask are very welcome. I can't remember (I'm sure there were) any questions not getting answered by one of the thousands of members we have world-wide. Someone, somewhere...
Second thing: we love pictures. In fact we thrive on pictures As you see fit, please feel free to set up your own free gallery and store photos on-line. You can also feel free to post them. I can't remember the links to the beginners picture posting area (instructions) but I am sure Dorothy will, when she sees this posting. Again, welcome!
