New to Orchidboard but have been growing over 20 years
Hello All
We are Gary and Donna and have been growing a large varity of Orchids over the last 20 years in different places that we have lived in the greater Los Angeles area. Currently we have about 300 orchids that we grow either outdoors most of the year and about 40 percent come indoors in winter. Recently we got a 6'*8' alluminum double pane greenhouse and now the plants are doing way better, I have a low mister so as not to get leaves wet in greenhouse but outdoors my misters are above to provide some moister to plants. I also grow a wide verity of other exotics and rare plants. I try to grow to specimum size, not into selling but trading is good.
Orchids are Gary's addiction, but we only grow what we know will grow for us.
Gary is a Landscaper in the area and trained in horticulter and has been growing plants since 9 years old.
Thanks look forward to meeting some of you.
Donna and Gary

Hi Donna and Gary! Welcome to the Orchid Board! With 20 years of experience, I am sure you will have a lot of useful advice for those of us, like me, who have not been growing orchids for nearly as long as you two have been! And don't forget, if you have pictures, we love to see 'em!

Welcome guys! How do I know it's Donna posting? Still, when you guys get a chance between landscaping jobs, why not post some pics of your 'chids?

I thought I recognized that user name. Hey Gary! Welcome to the orchid board. I look forward to reading your posts. All my Mexican Laelias are in spike right now, and when they bloom I'll send you an e-mail to come over and check them out.
