Default hey you orchid maniacs!

To everyone who takes part in the forum, HOLA! I am a guy who loves orchids and is currently thinking about a little trip to central america (costa rica..maybe). If people have experiences of orchid collections (or even national parks which they particularly like) in that part of the world, would like to hear all about it.

Hey and welcome! There's nothing like seeing a orchid in it's natural habitat. Sounds like a great idea for those non-workaholics!

Thank you all for the warm welcome to your forum. More about me- I live in England, had a small mixed collection of orchids (but at the moment have very few, because moving around -two phalaenopsis (hybrids!) and a treasured seedling of Paph rothschildianum x sanderianum. So that is the list of my plants-but will hope to contribute photos to the forum as time goes on.
On the subject of photos: you take a digital photo, the file size might be somewhere around 2mb, but you want to reduce it to 30kb or 50kb for the web-what free software lets you do this? The software with my camera does isn't much help with this. (The answer may be "just go and get photoshop elements, mate" but if there is a free one, so much the better)
Good growing to everyone, elsombrero
