I don't have a digital camera right now, so here are a few pics I took a while back with my cell phone. An Onc. Sharry Baby, Milt. Pupukea Sunset, and my orchid growing stand.

Wait a second Alaskagirl. I thought it was against the law in Alaska for a female person to leave the state. Did your boyfriend have sneak you out in hold of a fishing vessel?

Anyway, welcome and watch out for AaronM. He's nice but not quite right in the head. He is the person to talk to, however, if you want to learn about growing flowerless orchids in Central FL.

Yeah you guys are a pretty good group. Very knowledgeable, I've already found tons of answers! I'm a little eccentric too, so I'm sure I'll fit right in

AaronM- Haha There is a saying in Alaska that goes: "The odds are good, but the goods are odd." (referring to the men). LOL. So I had to get out while I could! I actually met my boyfriend here in Orlando, he's never been to Alaska (yet!).

Hello alaskagirl, welcome to the OB, and to Florida! You'll love it here, if you like to grow stuff. Also, your Phals will be fine (outside on your porch in a shady spot), they love the weather down here.

Jkelee- I've seen your shade house in a few other posts. LOVE IT! If I did better with mounted orchids I would totally want one of those. Right now I'm making do with my screened-in patio, so I really can't complain!

Thanks for the Phal. tip Jasen. I was a little hesitant putting them outside, but I think I'll give it a try when I get back in town. I've got a perfect shady corner for them.

I mainly have Oncidiums, but have completely fallen for Phrags recently! I only have one now, can't wait to get more. I picked it up at the Platinum Coast Orchid Show last weekend in Cocoa. Did either of you happen to go? It was my first show and I had a BLAST. My boyfriend had to practically drag me out of there

Hello, alaskagirl!

Nice orchid setup you have there. Clean and tidy. Wish I could make like yours, my dog just never leave my orchid pots alone.

Unfortunately, I haven't been to a show since the World Orchid Conference, in January. There was one in Lakeland around this time, last year....I wonder if they'll have one this year? I haven't heard anything.
