I was going to say (update) I cut the second spike off. It was starting to wilt, and the spike was turning brown.
The leaves, are turning as well, so hopefully it will like it's treatment. I powered the cut, and now it's outside for rehab'. hehe
I read about the earthquake. I was in Hawaii a couple years ago when the quakes were going on, and it's something to experience, for sure. Glad everything's safe and sound.
I really hope the plant takes to your treatment. Transplanting is a shock at best. Most Phals I have transplanted (that = lots) have done OK, but a couple didn't like it. Roots always seemed the be the culprit. Glad you could re-use the clear pot. They seem hard to find (I am not clear as to why this is so.) So far almost my entire collection is in either clear pots or "net baskets" like waterlily baskets, where the sides can breath.
