G'day Everyone,

My name is Caroline and I come from the eastern state of Melbourne, Australia.

I have been growing orchids on & off for some 28 years. Over recent years I reduced my collection & then in 2007 repotted my entire collection. Being Winter here now everything in my greenhouse is looking super healthy. Few days ago hand cleaned every orchid leaf in my collection, sprayed foliage with Eco Oil and applied snail bait. Also put down a small saucer of beer for the snail slugs to visit.

With renewed gusto have since acquired 9 new cool climate orchid species thus far in 08. So looks like exciting times ahead and lots of learning which is fantastic. Beginning of 2008 I joined a local orchid society and some members ask me why I always , I say it's because I'm in heaven when I'm surrounded by orchids as they are oh so beautiful and intriguing.

i see you're in maroondah orchid society! they hold their meetings at mullauna yesno? i'm thinking of joining that society (i live in nunawading) it'll be my first time surrounded by other orchid enthusiasts i'm very excited, everyone else i talk orchids to gets bored to tears!
