Default Questions about the forum

I have some questions about the forum.

What is the difference between beginner discussions and advanced discussions? How can I know in which one my thread should be in?

Question about the members. How does junior member become a member and so on? Does it depend on the quantity of posts?

Well these are all the questions I have right now. I have to say this is a wonderful board

The Beginner's forum is most likely the place to post your questions for basic information. You can also choose to use one of the specific alliance forums such as our Cattleya or Dendrobium forums.

Don't be nervous about where to post your question...put it where you think it belongs and if one of the mods think it might get better exposure elsewhere, we'll move it for you

...and yes, levels of membership increase according to posts and participation on the board.

This really is a wonderful place and I have "met" some really great people here.

Hi, welcome to the Board. I just want to add that no special privelages come with increasing rank. Its there primarily to let other members know how long you have been with us, or how active the person is on the board. Have fun!

Liisa, I hope you don't mind but I moved your thread into the Introductions forum. I think your questions and the ensuing replies may help other newcomers joining us...thank you

Liisa
Glad to have you on 'board'

I was searching around the OB and found the breakdown of the User Titles -
# Jr. Member is assigned for 0 - 29 posts.
# Member is assigned for 30 - 100 posts.
# Senior Member is assigned for 101 or more posts.
under FAQ - http://www.orchidboard.com/community...errals_explain

Hi and welcome to OB! Don't forget, You help others by asking questions. Chances are someone else is wondering the exact same thing. You ask somone answers and others benefit. Everyone wins, so don't be shy and post away!
