Hi SueK @all,

for sure it's much colder in Dortmund than in Australia, unfortunately, but compared to the north-, or south-pole, it's really warm, sometimes.

Well, we have much rain here, but also very nice and sunny weather with temperatures up to 35°C. I've already installed air-conditions in my house. Yes, it can be nice and warm here in Dortmund, and winter-temperaures below -5°C. are quite seldom.

My mom and I have our orchids stand on the window-sills, and in front of the terrace-windows. We do not place them outside, mainly because of tiny little flying animals, ants, snails and slugs. We live in a nice green suburb, 100 meters away from a big forrest.

As I said before, I've never uploaded pictures, but I'll try some time.

Something very sad happened this afternoon , one branch of one of my tomatoe plants cracked, because one tomatoe was too big and heavy. We had storm and heavy rain today. Hope, my 'first aid' helped to get it red at all. .

Tschüss,
Kalla
