Default Hello from Jacksonville Florida

I've posted on the board once before, but never introduced myself. The idea of internet communications is very new to me. though I grew up in the computer age (I'm 28) I have had my nose, and really hands, feet, and toes in the dirt since birth. My Family owned a citrus farm in SW Florida until the freeze of '89, we then moved (outside Chicago of all places) to do corn and soybeans. Eventually, moved back to FL (missed surfing) and went to school for my Hort. Sciences A.S. and Landscape Design A.S. Anyway, I now own a Landscape nursery (my wife and 2month old) with which we grow and carry a wide array of citrus, trees, shrubs, etc; as well as orchids. At last count we have about 850 (orchid) plants between our home GH and retail GH. The orchids are our passion, but we've only been open 1.4 years, so that portion of the business does not pay the bills. We have started a small scale breeding program, but wo'nt have our first flasks ready until august. I look forward to learning and discussing with ya'll,
Thanks, Tom

I have a few flasks at our home GH already, G. Aurantiaca (alba) (x2); Phal. Baldans Kaleidoscope (x1); C. Leopoldii (x2). As for what I am hoping to have flasked by august is a Bc. Maikai cross; B. Aristocrat; and Bc. Daffodil Muse. . . . among others.

When you want to post a message with photos or reply to a thread. . .if you'll scroll down you'll see more options.

Look for Additional Options and Manage Attachments. You can upload the images directly from your computer. You just need to be sure to have them sized to post to the web.
