Since I just got them late May, I haven't been able to see what the blooms look like. Plus, I think my aunt had issues with getting them to bloom, and she had them growing in a greenhouse and everything (though they were kinda neglected).
I just hope that I may be able to have better luck (and I'm a newbie at this ).

I'm a newbie at this too but I'm up to 80+ plants in about 5 months. However I have been exposed to orchids since I was a little baby. We had a huge specimen plant wrapped around the citrus tree

Welcome Ira,

I spent many days at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I lived in the area for 26 years. That was 12 years ago. Boy, how time goes by so quickly. I can remember buying a phal and kept it alive as long as I could. I didn't know alot about orchids then. You have found the right place to get information here at OB.

The 2 hanging chids you have are vandas and they like to have their roots hanging in a basket and thoroughly watered each day. Fertilize 1x a week and as much sun as you can give them without burning the leaves. It might be next year before they bloom for you. The roots do not like to be disturbed too much if they attach to something. If you need some staking pics let me know and I'll post them.

The others seem to look like catts and they need to dry between waterings. We have a great forum with mounting info. My catts love being mounted better than potted.

I like the paph you picked up at the show nice start to a collection

Thanks for the pictures.
